Answer
This issue is an operational matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. I have sought the requested information from the Chief Executive, who has advised me as follows:
“As part of the development of the Homelessness Strategy 2027-32 the Housing Executive will engage with the Simon Community, as part of their membership and contribution to the Central Homelessness Forum, in considering the findings of the recent report on Childhood Adversity and Homelessness in Northern Ireland: Breaking the Cycle.
The Housing Executive will also work with Simon Community and the Central Homelessness Forum in considering the findings of this report as we shape the actions for 2026/27 of the current strategy, and specifically, the Youth Homelessness Action Plan.”
