Answer
The B15 Glenshesk Road partially collapsed due to an embankment failure on 27 March 2024.
The design process is nearing completion and when a final design is established, a construction programme will be developed and taken forward. It is anticipated that a construction start date in spring of this year is achievable.
In relation to the second slippage associated with Storm Bert, I can advise that the Glenshesk Road has been fully open at this location (Ballycastle side of Greenan Road), since 11 December 2024.
My Department has provided a dedicated webpage to keep interested parties advised of progress on the Glenshesk Road reopening. This can be viewed at https://www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/articles/b15-glenshesk-road-ballycastle-overview
