Answer
Universal Credit is a household benefit. In the period May 2022 to May 2024 there were 115,320 new claims to Universal Credit in which a household’s eligibility for Universal Credit was confirmed and their entitlement calculated. Official statistics are available to view at www.communities-ni.gov.uk/publications/universal-credit-statistics-may-2024
98% of these new claims received their first payment on time.
